Hope Jane Mikaelson is a main character in Legacies, and she was a former major recurring character in The Originals before being promoted to a main character in the fifth season. She learns from Kaleb that he and Alaric lied to her about Landon, and head back to the Salvatore School. Afterward she writes a letter to Klaus which is put in a Japanese Lamp indicating she has taken the first step to forgive herself although that road will be a long one. Ryan Clark, wrapped in a towel, newly raised from Andi's death, exits and stands before the three of them. Hope is later seen in a truck with her mother as Klaus reads his goodbye-letter for Hope as they exit New Orleans to save the rest of the Mikaelsons. She admits that she was envious when Niklaus and Hayley had the miracle that she is. There's nothing to worry about and muses she's only there for the birth of the one and only tribrid because of family bragging rights. Josie, however, realized it was time for her to do so, anyway. Hope attempts to communicate with the leprechaun, but her translation spells are of no use. Hope doesn't plan to stay for dinner, believing that Vincent will lift the spell keeping her here. He takes the Hollow from her and, after spending precious moments together where she promises to make the Mikaelson name proud and be okay, Klaus gives her a kiss. With Trudy in the kitchen, Hope inspects photos on the mantle. Rebekah makes a face, revealing that he's told a story to Hope. However, Marcel explains that he's only anchoring the spell to New Orleans and she could have left anytime she wanted. As they make their way through the warehouse, they find a bloody pentagram. Hope will have to listen to her humanity to win. Klaus tells her that the first transformation usually takes hours but by embracing the transformation and pain instead of fighting it, the process will be faster. She hugs him and Alaric promises that they will figure everything out together. Jed questions if she thinks they're going to lose but Hope believes they won't. Still locked up, Rafael begins to confide about feelings, Hope reply's pretending to appreciate Lizzie to relieve him, and his conscience will not help and that it would be good for no one, she also informs, to have sent Landon to someone who will help him find mother so he can finally have a family, Rafael replies that he was his family that even if they don't share the same blood, they are brothers, he advises to make friends to replace the family she doesn't have. Hope begs Aurora not to do this and that she saw real doubt in her eyes. Josie questions why she's here, but Hope only quips that she's preemptively annoyed with the weapons gone. Kaleb, however, is finished with the simulations. Hope doesn't want a new path, considering she just got back on this one. Feeling alone in the world, Hope goes to Alaric's office and confesses everything, revealing that she is in fact the daughter of Hayley Marshall-Kenner and Klaus, and a Mikaelson. Hope finds herself outside of the Salvatore School, where she bumps into Dorian Williams, who questions who she is and if she is alright. Hope agrees to go with her with the prospects of hitting something and to escape the school. He was jealous of her and her friend. Before the dance, she meets up with Landon and asks if he is alright, noticing that he seems tense. It's more than he's ever had. She invites him in and they began talking about Henry and her leaving. After their confrontation with Jen, Lizzie and Hope talk. She is then told by Freya that the witches think she'll destroy New Orleans. After Elijah, Gia, and Hayley talk to Josephine, Hope is in Hayley's arms and she threatens to kill Eva even if it is Rebekah or not, so Eva won't go after Hope. When they repeat a dance, she treats him of gigolo, vexed, he thanks her and suppose they will see at the party but Hope says will not preferred to stay alone in his bedroom, Rafael doesn't believe her because everyone needs a crew, they end up arguing, so he starts to leave the gym but is blocked because of a boundary spell, Penelope shows up, apologizing and saying that this is not personal and they will be free in an hour. Hope and Ken match blows against one another until Hope struggles to fight through the pain. The Ferryman points to her Mikaelson necklace, but she's unwilling to part with it. Another car drives in and Rebekah steps out of it. However, the banshee's true purpose was to drive Cleo away from her protection and that Cleo will die too. She wonders what he remembers. She actually wants to compare blind spots, and she definitely has one for Landon. At least not things he shouldeverything's muted and dull on this plane of existence. Marcel accepts the compliment, as it was one of Elijah's old suits. With it in hand, she confronts MG. Inside the darkness, they're not attacked by any monsters, meaning MG's plan has worked. After a few months apart, they were reunited. During the match, Hope makes it clear that she is eager to leave the match early to search for Rafael Waithe, however Alaric tells her that they cannot draw too much attention to her. Maybe she will understand that if she ever chooses to become a parent. Alaric tells the students that Hope is taking time off to grieve the death of Landon, hoping to hide Hope's status from the students and avoid worry. Hope asked him not to tell the others he's coming, because she doesn't want them here. Just like she had one for Sebastian. The bartender has her school ID, but refuses to serve her. Truthfully, she just doesn't know if he'd think this place is special, too, and she's trying to make the right decision. Klaus asks her to follow him, he wants to show her something. Alaric agrees that he could have been more honest with them, but understands why he wasn't. Hope's come here to drink and seemingly compels the man to get her a drink. Hope casts another spell, throwing the monster across the floor. She went into her head thinking that she needed someone to save her, but Josie didn't. Back in the gym, MG explains they found Cleo, but didn't get the desired answers. They've already tried numerous methods, including potions and meditation, but to no avail. She must not suffer the same fate.Elijah to Klaus about Hope in Voodoo Child. In her vampire form, Hope maintains her golden yellow eyes but with an addition of vivid red at the inner corner on her irises. She later revealed that it was because of Klaus' werewolf side that Hope was conceived. Hope opens up the curtains and Aurora begins to burn in the sunlight. Hope has another question. Josie is unable to respond as Hope figures out what to do with her, eventually deciding to trap her within the therapy box. Setting his sights for Hope, he raises the spear and launches it at her. The two talk shortly after, and when Landon asks how Hope knew he hadn't returned, she remarked that she could just feel his situation. Landon walks off and Hope follows him. As they make their way to the Grand Hall, they're greeted by the other students and Alaric with a pre-victory party. She's the most dangerous piece. Then, working together as a newfound team, Hope, Lizzie, and the rest of the super squad faced-off against Ken. In the prison world, she and Lizzie search around the boarding school. Elijah takes her to see Hayley once a month. Trudy said they shouldn't waste any time if they both knew what they wanted. Hope seemingly has her humanity back on with her heartfelt speech. As Freya sets an extra plate, Kol arrives just in time. Klaus tells him there's one person who can. Kaleb dreads the fact that Hope doesn't agree to cure MG but she does. She then realizes that Roman got into her head to find out her mother's location and is shocked to find out Greta is his mom. It's a long story but the moral of which is that there are some battles they can't win alone. She muses the thought of living to the day where Hope Mikaelson doesn't rush in haphazardly sacrifice herself. Cami decides to take Hope out of the house. In The Tale of Two Wolves, Hope has to await her first transformation and is told she may not survive the process due to The Hollow slowly killing her from within. Hope tries to force the man to give the vessel by performing a death spell, but Alaric tells her to stop and urges the man to run, given the spell only works if Hope can see him. Alaric holds Hope back and Josie picks up the pace with the ritual. Ryan refuses, citing he has responsibilities, a job, and a relationship now. Hope sometimes jokes with Alaric saying that she'll need a new fighting mentor being Alaric is growing older. Hope accepts her fate and tells him that she's going to miss the way he makes her laugh. He has four hidden figures covered in sheets. They then discuss of their family dynamic but are stopped when Klaus' car arrives. She was temporarily reunited with her mother in Peace, and Hayley soothed her guilt - she's at peace because of Hope. Hope finally realizes they're never going to give up on her and immobilizes her with another spell. She listens as her mother tells her that purists are afraid that she'll unite the factions one day, telling her go and they embrace. Hayley ultimately sacrificed herself to save a kidnapped Hope from the their captor. He admits that the story was about learning how to say goodbye. With his great power, Ken kicks Hope around like a ragdoll, but doesn't understand why she won't die. Rebekah steps out of Rousseau's, reassuring her that everything lost, can be found. They were able to gradually regain their friendship after Hope helped Josie with the Mora Miserium. Cleo encourages her to tell her what she sees in her art, and that running away from it isn't the answer. As the world's first hybrid of all three supernatural species, the full extent and limits of Hope's weaknesses are currently unknown. As a baby, she had dirty-blonde hair and round dark-blue eyes. Should they fail, they'll have a fallback. Monique Deveraux later tells Genevieve that the baby must die in exchange for Genevieve's life. Landon suggests that he should go on without her and, despite her reserves, Hope agrees. She is the granddaughter of Ansel, Esther Mikaelson and two unnamed werewolves, as well as the step-granddaughter of Mikael. Klaus asks her how the littlest wolf is doing. Kaleb, Lizzie, and Hope rush Ryan back to the hospital to recovers. Outnumbered, Jen decides to abandon the fight and flies off into the sky. They were both unwanted at first, Hope by her parents and Nadia by her grandfather and then by her mother 500 years later. She decides to go to Rousseau's to talk to Declan and sees that Elijah is there. She tells him that he was great today. The students cheer and applaud the news. Her humanity, however, appears to her, noting that she's seeing people who aren't really there.
